Uptime is determined by how many successful amount of connection attempts were made by the total amount of connection attempts. Each attempt is typically made in intervals of approximately 5 minutes.

No. We are asked this far too often. The whole purpose of uptime is to measure how often your server is up and how reliable it is. Things such as hosting issues and DNS issues factor into this.

We could not make a connection ping to your server as it either has been refused or the connection ping has timed out. This can also be due to a firewall or routing issue. If your server has been brought back online since it was reported offline when it actually was, it may also be due to your server not being updated yet.

Either someone or you have already added your server's address to the list. Commonly, this occurs when one of your players has decided to add your server to the list or your host has recycled the address and the old listing hasn't been removed. If one of these is the case, simply email support@minecraftservers.biz and we'll try to sort things out.

Votes are reset at the beginning of each month in order to counter monopolization and give servers a fair chance. We may reset the votes prematurely at anytime if deemed appropriate.

We occasionally review votes that have been made and remove illegitimate votes that are typically placed by (but are not limited to) proxies or by 3G networks that are used to inflate votes.

Simply go to your server's listing and click "Edit" on the top right. You can change your server's address and port there.

This means our system was able to locate your server from somewhere and added it to the server list. You can claim your page simply by clicking the "Unclaimed" link, it'll guide you through an automatic process to get control of the page.
